I’ve been takign the kittens out back in a 5-gallon bucket for photography purposes (and because the neighbor kids want to see ’em… I’ve not much use for kids, but what the hell). They are not yet big enough to get themselves out of the bucket, but they’re big enough to raise a racket. And not all cats seem sympathetic. Some are downright antagonistic.

my wife and I used to do volunteer work at a no-kill cat shelter in Santa Barbara on the weekends. At our peak we had 200 cats, I cleaned enough cat boxes to last a lifetime. one late Friday someone dropped off 4 newborn kittens in the after hours drop off area. No one could take them home to watch them overnight so my wife and i took them home. We had four cats already and Jenny (jennyanydots) who never had kittens immeaditely took to them. We were able to bottle feed them, but to get them to poop, we ran lukewarm water over their butts and that triggered the poop response. So of the kittens cried out and Jenny streched out as far as she could to get a look into the sink as she cried back in response.
Just curious. How many cats allow you to live in their house currently?
I have three cats… Koshka, Raedthinn and Tak. Plus a wide array of local farmcats who come and go. Currently a crop of five kittens and their mother are luxuriating in the basement.
Sounds like us, we currently have 8 feline home owners who are graciously allowing us, and 2 dogs, to squat in their domicile. At least as long as the food keeps arriving on time!
