You know what’s better than a photo of a comet?

An animated gif of two comets. In this case, taken by the STEREO spacecraft, of comets Encke and ISON.

The way in which Encke’s tail waves honestly surprises me. You never get that sense of motion from still photos (well… duh, I suppose).
