OK, this is disturbing and hilarious in equal measures.

  1. I lean towards “disturbing”. I don’t really understand the Barbie-hate that’s become so common and acceptable among certain segments of the population. She was never intended to be a realistic depiction of a woman but rather an exaggerated idealization of “woman”. No one would could have all those careers or those proportions, which is why hating on those things is silly.

The “artist” comes across as just another angry feminist who isn’t happy that she’s not perfect and wants to tear down externals rather than improve herself. Sad really.

  2. in 1990s in french TV (Canal+) they made somewhat comparable in Comedy program

SERBIE the Serbian Barbie doll (fake advertising spots)
dress in battle suit. she pillage, rape, murder in former Yugoslavia
while Ken of UN, will write a bad letter to her…

  3. I actually saw a young woman who may well have had “Barbie” proportions. She was walking out of a restaurant with a an older couple who I assume were her parents. I couldn’t help but stop and stare – I’ve never seen legs that long, and (to quote the Buffy movie) “her breasts scoffed at gravity”.

  4. The Bratz dolls are much worse–no wonder girls have smarmy looks on their faces these days.
