According to a few commenters in this thread, apparently some people cannot see the Amazon.com search boxes that I posted… just empty space. So, here are two different search boxes:
1) the larger one:
———-
2) the smaller one:
———-
If you can’t see one or the other, please let me know via commenting. It might help explain why there’s been a dearth of activity on my Amazon account… but there’s been *some,* so clearly some people can see it.

Sorry, the comment form is closed at this time.
In IE and Opera everything OK. But when it comes to Coogle Chrome…eek

Hm, interesting, it worked for me on chromium which is basically the same.
Unfortunately I see only a blank space when using Firefox (on a linux machine), but I tested a half a dozen or so other browsers and it works fine with them.
Still nothing
And also, FWIW, I don’t see any of the book links in the other thread either.
Aha! It seems that our sys-admin (my stepson) has an ad blocker installed that doesn’t like your Amazon widgets. When I roll over the adblock icon it tells me what it’s blocking and, by golly, it says it’s blocking an Amazon widget from up-ship.com/blog.
Ups, sorry! In my case Firefox showed nothing because I have addBlock+ installed. Forgot about it since I also have NoScript that makes it largely redundant (remembered to disable that).
It could very well be that most of the reports on missing widgets are because of Firefox/Chrome ad blocker plugins.
