… given that this Boeing 767 of the Polish airline LOT didn’t have any landing gear.
Props to the pilots.

Ordinarily there would be a cheap Polish joke here, but not this time. Great landing by those pilots!
Kudos the Boeing for some good aircraft engineering and kudos to the Polish pilots! With good engineering and good piloting anything is possible.
Well, they were extremely lucky this time as there were nearly perfect weather conditions, a rather uncommon sight for this part of Europe and the year. In early November it is more likely that you fly in poor visibility, precipitation (including snow) and winds.
Damage to the fuselage doesn’t look that bad, the engine nacelles seemed to take the most of it, so I think this plane would be restored to the flying condition soon. They erected it on its own wheels and towed off.
As to the Polish joke, there is one, well its rather quite popular and pretty old Polish nursery rhyme, which reads: “Panie pilocie, dziura w samolocie”. It can be translated to “Hey, pilot, there is a hole in your plane!”, and indeed there is one. 🙂
