Short form: drug resistant TB is going gangbusters in Europe. Mortality rate for regular TB: 7%. Mortality rate for drug resistant TB: 50%

If you really think about it, the greatest threat to humanity’s survival are viruses and bacteria. The more we try to eradicate them, the more they survive and flourish.
