One more good science fiction show bites the dust:

But it’ll take a while to work it’s way through… five more episodes this summer, a holiday special and then twelve more episodes during summer 2012.
I expect its place to be taken by either wrestling or idiots looking for goblins in sewers with the lights off.

Well, you can look forward to this:

Sy Fy has really gone south since 2009. When the current crew of management asshats are fired, and they will be, I’ll start watching the channel again.
Doesn’t NBC own it?
no SyFy own it now
NBCUniversal owns Syfy channel. They have caused it to be made of both teh Suck and teh Fail. They’re very, very good at this — take NBC, for example.
> take NBC
No thanks.
Weren’t they the jackholes who cancelled Star Trek back in the day? Long history of dumbassery, it seems.
Nice i made a hypercritically Reply on SyFy BLASTr Page
and to get 100% censored, I not used profanity, Here the original post:
Wat is wrong at top of SyFy ?
while good SF-serie dies, they produce like in assembly line, more and more
Lousy SyFy-original films like Simbad, Oktoshark and variation on 10 miles big Anaconda
and Bad programs like Ghost Hunters, Scare Tactics
and over and over replay of this awfully boring stuff, day and night on SyFy (in Germany)
Stop making that stuff and put the money in to good SF-series !
or i lose interest to watch your TV channel
Yeah… Thanks, SyFy. After cancelling SGU and now Eureka you’ve got officially 0% of my attention. Been a big fan of both the shows.
When cable TV first became mainstream, there was talk of “a channel for every interest”. Unfortunately, it seems that major cable-networks don’t want specialty-interest channels – they want all channels to carry pretty-much the same, lowest-denominator programming. I’m seriously considering not getting cable when I move to a new house next year…
