Harold Camping briefly came out of hiding:

Be sure to watch the video where he speaks very briefly with a reporter. The man looks pretty crushed.
This all surprises me; I figured at this point there were two probably options:
1: He’d gone off somewhere to “Heavens Gate” or “Jim Jones” himself straight to heaven, or…
2: He’d squirreled away a vast sum bilked from the gullible into foreign accounts, and by the time they figure out what went wrong, he’d be sitting on a beach, earning twenty percent.
But it at least *looks* like he’s honestly surprised.
