Stitching together photos into panoramas can take a lot of time, especially if there are a bunch of photos. But sometimes the results are pretty spiffy. For example, these two taken in Cache Valley west of Logan, Utah:
Sure, there are some flaws. This is sadly inevitable when the image is composed partly of moving water, partly of fixed terrain, and partly of moving clouds. But even before any effort is put into fixing the blips, I think they came out pretty well.

I think we live in a pretty good time when assembling panoramas like this is within the reach of enthusiastic amateurs.
