For a brief, terrifying moment it appeared that our betters in the leadership class thought they might have to curtail their nonstop partying. Huzzah! Them days of darkness and despair are over! Now that Afghanistan failed and thousands of Americans are effectively hostages to the Taliban, the “party like it’s 1999 and there’s no such thing as a pandemic” days are back!

Rescue dogs shot dead by NSW council due to COVID-19 restrictions
Several impounded dogs due to be rescued by a shelter have instead been shot dead by a rural council in NSW under its interpretation of COVID-19 restrictions, alarming animal activists and prompting a government probe.
Bourke Shire Council, in the state’s north-west, killed the dogs to prevent volunteers at a Cobar-based animal shelter from travelling to pick up the animals last week, according to council’s watchdog, the Office of Local Government.
Color me skeptical. Such a bot will *eventually* almost certainly come about, but this is Musk at his Muskiest, promising a lot in very short order. Unlike rockets, AI androids are something that humans have not yet actually made work.
A rather dubious article on the topic:
Don’t overthink it: Elon Musk’s Tesla Bot is a joke
And so far, nobody is asking the really important question:
Huh.

Osama bin Laden BANNED al Qaeda from trying to assassinate Joe Biden because he believed he would be an incompetent president and ‘lead the US into a crisis’
The United States *usually* lucks out in that most of our enemies are fricken’ morons. The vast bulk of the Jihadis are like that, as are the majority of the Woke insurgents and worldwreckers. but unfortunately sometimes there is the occasional evil genius who figures things our to our detriment.
Bin Laden – then-leader of al Qaeda, and the man that America went to Afghanistan to kill – penned the 48-page missive in May 2010 to an aide identified as ‘Brother Shaykh Mahmud’, real name Atiyah Abd al-Rahman.
In it, he discusses the need to direct resources away from terror attacks in other Muslim countries and instead focus on direct attacks against the US.
On page 36, he outlines his desire to form two hit squads – one in Pakistan and another in Afghanistan – whose job it will be to plot attacks against then-US President Barack Obama and ex-CIA director David Petraeus, should they visit either country.
Giving his reasoning for attacking Obama, he says: ‘Obama is the head of infidelity and killing him automatically will make Biden take over the presidency for the remainder of the term, as it is the norm over there.
‘Biden is totally unprepared for that post, which will lead the US into a crisis.’
Sadly, bin Laden had a better understanding of Biden than anyone who voted for him.
1941 Boeing B-17E Flying Fortress
Some assembly required. Yours for the low, low price of $9 million.
Airframe:
This B-17E “Flying Fortress” is extremely rare, being one of the few Seattle built Boeing B-17’s surviving to date. Most of the other surviving B-17’s were built under license by either Lockheed or Douglas.
Structure: It is estimated that the structure is approximately 80% restored. The front fusealge including the nose and cockpit still need to be rebuilt.
Restoration work by Vintage Airframes.
This B-17E was flown to Washington State in 1998 for restoration. The workmanship to date is second to none. If completed to the same standards, it will be the finest B-17 restoration in the world.
The project is substantially complete with the correct engines and propellers.
After decades of service, the Biden administration has abandoned a bunch of fully functional helicopters as quickly as the administration abandoned thousands of American citizens.
The State Department Has Abandoned Its CH-46 Helicopters In Afghanistan
The U.S. State Department has confirmed that seven CH-46E Sea Knight helicopters, also colloquially known as “Phrogs,” belonging to its Air Wing have been rendered inoperable and abandoned in Afghanistan as part of the ongoing evacuation effort. This non-combatant evacuation operation, or NEO, could very well be the last major mission ever for any Sea Knight belonging to the U.S. government, with the State Department already in the process of divesting its entire fleet.
Well. That’s… something.
Sure, these helicopters were old and were slated for retirement. Their day was almost over. But there are still tens of thousands of American citizens stranded by Biden behind Taliban lines. Americans who could have been picked up by these choppers. But now they’re junk.
Britain also has it’s share of officials who are… ummm…
You would have thought that at least the military would have been more clear-eyed and honest. But then, the US military is riddled with whackjobs who think that the biggest threat the US faces right now is “white fragility” and such nonsense.
When not even the military can be relied upon to point to types such as the Taliban and say “the enemy,” then you know your society is in deep, deep trouble. These people will not protect our nations form invasion; rather, they’ll welcome it.
