10 which added this section subject to the registration requirements of

Let me post that text again:

NY seals 1st state gun laws since Newtown massacre

Some lowlights from New Yorks new law:

  • An “assault rifle” is now any rifle with a pistol grip
  • Magazines are now restricted to *seven* rounds
  • If you have an 8-round magazine, you have one year to sell it out of state
  • You will be arrested if you have an 8-or-more round magazine
  • Background checks for buying ammo
  • “It is well-balanced, it protects the Second Amendment,” said Senate Republican leader Dean Skelos of Long Island.

‘Insulting words’ crime ditched

Short form: crazy and fascist though it may sound, up until now it has apparently been illegal to insult people in Britain. But the jug-earred, knock-kneed, buck-toothed genetically defective inbred yokels that run that country have had a sudden flash of common sense and decency, and have realized that making insults illegal is *insane* and the sort of thing only profoundly stupid people do.

A 1966 Grumman concept for a long duration Lunar rover based on Lunar Module equipment, namely the crew compartment. Specifically, the cabin was from a Lunar Model derivative “lunar Shelter,” designed to land on the moon, but not to lift off again. By removing the rocket engine, propellant and other associated systems, a great deal of internal volume and payload mass would be made available. By mounting the cabin to a chassis with four wheels and 8 kilowatts of fuel cells, the MOLEM could provide a mobile shelter for two men for 14 days, permitting a total range of 250 nautical miles. Two 50 watt RTGS would be provided to power the MOLEM for up to 3 months after unmanned landing and the arrival of a crew. Other MOLEM drawings are HERE.

1) You know that what you are doing adds no value to society

2) You know that your career is very time-limited

3) You know that nobody will *ever* know your name or give a damn, unlike the female models

4) If you manage to avoid the shame of being dressed like an idiot in London (I mentioned HERE), you stand a chance of being dressed like just as much of an idiot in Milan.

Versace show sends male models down the catwalk in lace-trimmed fancy pants, sheer shorts and sexy knickers

Well, at least the fashion victims on display here have enough humanity left in ’em to look ashamed of what’s being done to them.

I picked up a batch of prints today, including:

1/72 Saturn V: came out great

1/72 Saturn Ib: Came out great

1/72 Saturn Ib/SRB: the print came out great, with the caveat that the original drawing is slightly fuzzier than the Ib

Skylab cutaway: came out great

LM equipment: Came out great

V-2 cutaway: MY EYES!!!! The fadde/old/off-white that looked good on screen came out a very bright and garish orange on paper. Fortunately I only had one each of two sizes printed. Back to the factory on these, tone it down and try again.

The LM and Skylab are bigger than the shipping tubes I have on hand. I have to order more, then I’ll start making ’em available.

I’m looking for, as the title suggests, 2D CAD drawings of the International Space Station to use as scale references in drawings for the Nuclear Pulse Propulsion book. Anybody know of such? NASA released PDF files of CAD three-views of the *components* of the station, but not, so far as I’m aware, any overall views. I also have some Shuttle/ISS On-Orbit configuration PDFs, but they don’t go as far as station completion. If anyone knows of an ISS CAD drawing, or a PDF with an embedded CAD drawing, or a final configuration “Shuttle/ISS” PDF, I’d be grateful if you could point me towards it.

Looking for something akin to this, just as a vector file:

… on the forthcoming gun-grab attempts.

Anonymous mentioned the legal steps that would need to be taken to overturn any weapon confiscation legislation. “Upon failure of all the aforementioned bodies to perform such duty, it will be the authority and duty of any and all members of the United States Armed Forces to remove the president, vice president, cabinet members and members of Congress — and the US Supreme Court justices — from power by military force. Failure by all military members to perform such duties will constitute as an act of civil war against the American people by said authorities.”

Huh.

I hadn’t previously given much thought to how Anonymous would react to a gun-grab, but I guess it makes sense that a group of anarchists would see an attempt by the government to consolidate power as a bad thing. Cheesing off a few hundred thousand hackers just might not be the best thing the US government could do. There are increasing calls for secession or civil war coming from the more unhinged on the right; and claims from the more unhinged on the left that the US FedGuv would simply use drones to smoke any civilians who dared stand up for themselves, giving said “gun nuts” no chance to defend themselves with AR-15’s. But if the hackers wade in, the drones might just find themselves being hijacked by someone with *way* too much Call Of Duty or flight simulator stick time.
