Study links in utero ‘forever chemical’ exposure to low sperm count and mobility

The Danish study shows a link between PFAS chemicals, often used in plastic products including food packaging, and now found in *rain,* and drastically reduced sperm counts. This is a possible explanation for why the developed world’s sperm counts have crashed while the undeveloped world’s sperm counts remain fairly high.

It is unlikely that reduced sperm counts are the sole result of these chemicals, which mess with hormones. It would not surprise me that they also trash testosterone levels, another problem in considerable evidence these days. This would not be the first time that science has shown widespread problems due to chemicals in consumer products: tetra-ethyl lead in gasoline and lead in paint led to whole generations of kids being stupider and more violent than they should have been. And then there’s tobacco.

So what will be done about this? If the link can be firmly established, PFAS chemicals *should* be removed from the market. But I wonder about pushback: not so much from the chemical and plastics industries… but from the Alphabet People. If it is scientifically shown that the existence of everything from bog-standard homosexuals to low-testosterone “soyboys” to dangerhaired weirdos to a large fraction of those  feeling the need to transition are all influenced to an important degree by the existence of PFAS… then deleting the chemicals might be seen as anti-Alphabet People. If nothing else, the following generations should presumably have fewer Alphabet People. I suspect this won’t go over all that well.

The alternative seems to be a population crash in the developed world, followed by a complete takeover by the undeveloped world. I suspect that this, too, might be something that some people want to have happen.

So long as it was those rubes in Texas and Florida being stuck with the bill, it was fine. But now that New York is getting the *tiniest* fraction of the problem…

NYC Mayor Eric Adams declares state of emergency over influx of migrants

Boo fricken’ hoo. Suck it up and do your part, Mayor Adams. You could start by advocating that illegal aliens be deported when caught, and prevented from invading in the first place.

The Woman King

The budget for this movie was apparently about $50 million. Something like half of the domestic box office goes back to the studio… about $19.85 million. About a quarter of the international box office goes to the studio… about $0.325 million. For a total of $20.175 million. Add in anywhere from $25 million on up in advertising costs, and I’m uncertain that $20+ million will pay off an investment of $70 million, even given that it has weeks to months more run time. I can see it getting to $60, maybe $80 million domestically… which won’t be break-even on production, never mind marketing. If it truly fails, I wonder if we might get a sequel to THIS STORY.

“Inspired by true events.” In much the same way that “The Man in the High Castle” was, I suppose.

Lots to contemplate here:

Lizzo Twerks on Stage with James Madison’s 1813 Crystal Flute

On top of everything else, the Library of Congress deemed it proper to hand over a priceless (and doubtless fragile) historic artifact to be used as a prop or a toy on stage by someone with demonstrated and clearly obvious impulse control issues.

“B****! I just twerked and played James Madison’s crystal flute from 1800’s!” she said, after handing the flute back to a representative from the Library of Congress.

Indeed.

Homeless man arrested for vicious beating in NYC train station

How could this crime have been prevented? Were there any warning signs? Any possible hints of what was coming? Any chances to go ina  different direction?

In 1995, Foster was arrested as a 14-year-old for killing his own 82-year-old grandmother in Flatbush, Brooklyn. He apparently got into a dispute about money and started punching her. She died on the couch shortly after the attack. …

In 2010, police arrested him for stabbing a 50-year-old woman at a psychiatric center in Queens Village. The woman was left permanently disfigured in the attack.

Foster was paroled last year for that incident.

New York City Police arrested him in August for Petty Larceny. The next day he was arrested again for criminal mischief.

Nope. Nothing at all that could have been done. There were no chances to have nipped this in the bud.

“IF” being the operative word. Assume this is as accurate as a random anonymous comment usually is.

…or Maybe the Trans Shop Teacher Is the Hero We Need Right Now

This dude is gaming the system. An anon here yesterday was in this dude’s class. This teacher was almost fired for ‘toxic masculinity’ last year, as well as not embracing woke culture. He’d drop redpills to his class, such as how silly gender neutral bathrooms are. The school board hates him.

He’s now upping the ante to exploit the very clown world the school and society itself created. His long game is most likely to get fired, and then sue for discrimination. There is no other explanation.. No better way to troll clown world than to become an over-the-top caricature of a woman.

Don’t trust this to be true. But if it is… suddenly this ridiculous story is elevated to hilarious troll. On the one hand, this is a long way to go to make a point. on the other hand, it’s a longer way to actually *be.*

Never mind vacuous celebrities, the show to watch in coming months will be “Europe in the Cold.”

You really don’t understand how bad it could get in Europe this year

Europe bailed on nuclear power and decided to rely instead on natural gas from Putin. Good plan, geniuses.

Another genius move that will come back to bite them: importing whole armies of military-age males from third-world antagonistic cultures. Now they’re going to turn the lights off at night. Yeah… the combo of reduced lights and increased criminality? BRILLIANT! The women of Europe had best be ready to lock themselves into their chilly little apartments all through the winter, lest they become one more in an increasing statistic.

I guess one possible benefit might be that the price of gas goes so high the colonizers won’t be able to afford Molotov cocktails.
