Here we have yet another Dem politician threatening Republicans/Trump supporters, apparently actively calling for direct violence. Will it be handwaved away as a “joke,” as so many on the left have tried to do with Swalwell’s threat to use nuclear weapons on American civilian population centers in order to strip the citizens of their Constitutional rights?

And once again we have a link between the gun grabber agenda and the Communist Chinese:

“Nobody is coming for your guns…”

Except the US Federal Government.

Unaccountable ATF Heads Colluding With Biden Transition Team to Ban Pistol Braces

Looks like the ATF is angling to get the incoming BidenHarris administration to go after pistol braces and 80% lowers. Who wants to bet that BidenHarris won’t exactly put up a fight against this effort to infringe on Americans rights to keep and bear arms?

Trump squandered his opportunities. He should have worked to abolish the ATF. I suspect he may go down in history in much the same way the Weimar Republic has… a last, weak gasp of “democracy” before the totalitarians took over and trashed the joint.

Apple head of security accused of offering iPads as bribes for concealed gun permits

In Santa Clara, CA, Apples head of global security offered 200 iPads to the Sheriffs office in exchange for four concealed carry licenses for Apple employees.

There is a solution to this problem: California should become a shall-issue state. or a Constitutional-carry state. Problem solved.

You’re welcome, California.

Well, this sounds just spectacular:

BLM Co-Founder Calls on Biden to Back a Crazy Progressive ‘Civil Rights’ Bill

The text of the BREATHE Act is available HERE. It calls for some interesting things, including but not limited to:

  • Abolishing the Drug Enforcement Administration
  • Abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement
  • Abolishing funding for drug interdiction efforts
  • Slash the budget of the DoD by 50%
  • Slash the budget of the Department of Energy by 50%
  • Eliminate the Space Force
  • Eliminate all modern fighter jet programs
  • Unilateral nuclear disarmament
  • Withdraw US military forces and assistance from everywhere in the world
  • Prohibit Federal police forces from using “less than lethal” systems, “military grade” weapons, drones or BODY CAMERAS

That last one there is interesting. At they same they want to stop Federal police from using “military grade weapons” (which in modern progressive parlance means any semi-automatic weapons) as well as tasers and pepper spray. This will make them *incredibly* vulnerable to criminals armed with little more than ball bats, never mind the automatic weapons that will be available to criminals in abundance. And they want to eliminate body cams, which will show how the federal cops are being set upon by the now-empowered criminals who do not have to worry about actually facing real resistance.

The BREATHE Act also repeals:

  • Laws against the material support of terrorism
  • Laws against conspiracy and gang offenses
  • Laws against prostitution

The Act would raise the minimum age to be tried as an adult to *24*

It would end both the death penalty *and* life sentences

End deportation of illegal aliens who also commit violent crimes

Basically end all bars to immigration

And here’s the really good part: within 5 years of the Act, prison population would be reduced 50%, and by 10 years, *all* prisons would be emptied.

There are 126 pages of this gibberish and I could not be bothered to read all of it. So go ahead and imagine how much of it  will be read by those genetic defectives in Congress who will vote for it. Will this pass into law? Almost certainly not. Even as addled as he is, Biden is probably goign to realize that this Act, were it to become law, would result in the prompt destruction of the United States as a going concern. Very few republicans would be stupid enough to vote for it, and a bunch of Democrats would likely realize how nonsensically destructive this BS is. Still: this is the sort of thing that some “mainstream” Democrats such as Pressley and Tlaib are pushing for.

The Biden-Harris transition team has announced who is on the NASA agency review team. Here’s the bio for one reviewer, Dave Noble:

For the past two years, he has been consulting with national progressive groups on strategic planning, coalition building, communications, electoral engagement, and leadership development.

Prior to this work, Dave spent eight years in the Obama Administration. He was the Deputy Director and Acting Director of the Presidential Personnel Office (PPO), where among other responsibilities he oversaw teams building pipelines of diverse candidates for political appointments and teams creating leadership development programming for all 3500 administration appointees. He also helped the First Lady organize mayors committed to ending food deserts and create safer and accessible places for kids to play as part of her “Let’s Move!” campaign, and was the White House Liaison and Deputy Chief of Staff at NASA, where he led the combined federal campaign to raise charitable donations from NASA HQ employees. He served on President Obama’s campaign in 2008 as the Director of the LGBT Vote and was deployed to Michigan to help spur voter turnout.

Yep. Good hands.

Richard Carranza’s grading policy aims to bar failing marks: NYC DOE memo

Euphemisms are to be used in place of “you’re failing” in the New York school system.

Good job!

Bah. I’ve said it before: a better approach would be to split the educational system apart: for student who want to learn and who can learn, educate them to the best level of attainment possible. For those who don’t want to learn, can’t learn, or are so troublesome that they are an educational detriment to the others in class… send them to farms and factories to learn trades.

It certainly doesn’t seem like it will belong to NASA:

Biden administration expected to emphasize climate science over lunar exploration at NASA

Satellites looking down on Earth, measuring temperature and atmospheric makeup? Sure, useful. But someone PLEASE explain to me why *NASA* is meant to do this and not the NOAA.

The people who dreamed as children and struggled through college to get science and engineering degrees with the goal of working for NASA did so because they want to send Men to the Moon, Mars and beyond. It must surely be a small  minority indeed who were enthralled not with visions of exploration and going out to the frontiers, but with looking at clouds.

So if the new administration does not use regulations to strangle SpaceX (including jacking up taxes so that SpaceX simply can’t afford to work here anymore), I would be utterly unsurprised to see a mass exodus of talent from NASA, heading to SpaceX.

Britain is showing the way. Wheeeeeeeeeeeee.

The EU has over 200,000 new cases per day, over 2,000 deaths per day. So I get the urge to “do something.” But it’s at best unclear whether destroying the economy is the right way to go. Doing so leads not only directly to pain, but also to death: people kill themselves. People lose hope and just die. People go kinda buggo and engage in silly and dangerous behavior, including mass gatherings. People go buggo and riot/protest, which cause yet more economic disaster and yet more pain and yet more death.

Regardless of what’s good public policy, expect the US to enter new phases of lockdowns in the near future… *especially* starting in late January and beyond. Do you have enough soup, hand sanitizer and toilet paper hoarded?

First:

USPS says huge amount of mail-in ballots were not delivered

In Philadelphia, 33.7 percent of mail-in ballots were not delivered to election offices on Election Day, the data shows.

In Atlanta, the same goes for 17.9 percent of mail-in ballots, and in Detroit for 21.1 percent, the filing states.

For Greensboro, NC, 27.1 percent were not delivered, and in Lakeland, Wis., the figure is 23.2 percent, according to the filing.

Well, that’s not so good. Of course, some places don’t require that ballets be delivered by election day, only that they be postmarked by election day. But even then there are shortfalls. But there is an easy solution:
