Rep. Sheila Jackson-Lee, who famously asked if a Mars rover was going to take a photo of the flag the Apollo astronauts left on the Moon, is clearly sub-par in the smarts department (witness her recent House bill 127, which calls for the destruction of 70 million American lives). But she is not alone. Consider this:

Where Bubbles Cortez relates her terrifying experience of being stalked by an assassination team during the Storming Of The Capitol.

Yeah, about that.

1: She wasn’t actually *in* the Capitol building at the time, but the Cannon office building, which is not part of the Capitol.

2: Her hallway in the Cannon office building was not invaded by protestors.

3: The “assassin” was actually a Capitol cop come to check on her.

Now, it could be that this false narrative isn’t due to Bubbles being stupid, but being crazy. Evidence backs up this hypothesis:

And it could also be that she’s both smart enough and sane enough to know that her story is utter BS… and she’s smart enough, sane enough and *evil* enough to not only know that much of the media will run with it uncritically, but that a whole lot of the public actually are dumb enough to believe her. Because if there’s one thing the Left worships, it’s victimhood points. Even when the victimhood is entirely imagined.

AOC Wasn’t Even in the Capitol Building During Her ‘Near Death’ Experience

Maybe she should have taken lessons from Hillary in the fine art of dodging sniper fire. I’m sure it would have served AOC as well as it did Hillary in Bosnia.

This bill does not yet have a number, or much in the way of text:

‘‘Closing the Loophole 2on Interstate Firearm Sales Act’’

https://crow.house.gov/sites/crow.house.gov/files/CROWCO_014_xml.pdf

To prohibit a Federal firearms licensee from transferring a long gun to a person who the licensee knows or has reasonable cause to believe does not reside in (or if the person is a corporation or other business entity, does not maintain a place of business in) the State in which the licensee’s place of business is located.

Translation: the Constitution will no longer cross state lines. Soon you will need special papers to leave your state if these jackholes get their way. The internet will be blocked from going from one state to another, never mind internationally.

There needs to be some form of legal sanction for congresscritters who propose laws that are this blatantly unConstitutional. Automatic ejection from the House and a permanent voting disenfranchisement would seem to be the bare minimum for totalitarian morons like these.

WTF, Kamala.

Will this be the new “learn to code?” If your job has just gone away, taking decades of experience and expertise down the drain, just work on “reclaiming abandoned land mines.” Because, sure, digging coal out of the ground gives you the skill sets to dig generations-old explosive booby traps out of the ground on the far side of the planet.

Unless, of course, she’s planning on planting millions of land mines around government facilities to prevent those dirty, dirty “citizens” from getting too close, and she’ll need an army of depressed expendables to deal with them.

Your next President, people. All sales are final.

This bill, the “Sabika Sheikh Firearm Licensing and Registration Act’’ would make illegal any ammunition .50 caliber or greater. This would mean that your .50 BMG rifle and your .50 Action Express pistol would now be a Federal crime. To own such ammunition would *mandate* a minimum 10 year prison sentence. (there does not seem to be an exception or 12 gauge deer slugs, nor for black powder musket balls) Also: the bill would require that *all* firearms be registered with the government within three months.

REQUIRED INFORMATION.—Under the firearm registration system, the owner of a firearm shall transmit to the Bureau— ‘‘(A) the make, model, and serial number of the firearm, the identity of the owner of the firearm, the date the firearm was acquired by the owner, and where the firearm is or will be stored;

This information – who you are, what guns you own, and where you store them – would be kept in a database. Which, interestingly… “The Attorney General shall make the contents of the database accessible to all members of the public, all Federal, State, and local law enforcement authorities, all branches of the United States Armed Forces, and all State and local governments, as defined by the Bureau. “

Huh. Well, looky here: a handy-dandy database of stealable firearms and where they’re stored, available to all criminals.

What’s more: in order to possess a firearm, you will need a license. In order to get a license, you will need to pass a background check, a psychological evaluation and a training course… all at your expense, of course, as well as having special insurance policies ($800). If your firearm is “military style,” the training course will be TWENTY-FOUR HOURS. If you are depressed by this, that’s considered a psychological condition that will preclude you from obtaining a license to keep your guns. it will be illegal for you to give a gun to a friend or family member… or even *ammunition,* unless you inform the Attorney General of that transfer. Failure to do so  leads to a $75,000 fine and 15 to 25 years in prison. Owning a standard capacity magazine will now be illegal, with fines of $50,000 to $100,000 and prison terms of 10 to 20 years.

Will this bill become law? Even with the current makeup of Congress and the White House, I have doubts. But the fact that such a bill can make it as far as it has speaks ill of the intentions of those behind it. The bills sponsor, Sheila Jackson-Lee, is one of the least honest and least intelligent people to have ever occupied a seat in the US House, and that’s really saying something.

You can track the progress of this blatantly unconstitutional bill here (there is a *CITATION* *NEEDED* estimate of 3% for this bill passing):

California’s Ethnic Studies Model Curriculum is awful. Rather than posting small snippets, just read this… and wonder just how long California has before it devolves into full scale race war.

California Is Cleansing Jews From History

It is full not only of all the racism and historical revisionism we’ve come to expect from the far left in recent years, but blatant anti-semitism and outright Marxism. No parent should allow their children to be subjected to this rubbish.

Of course California is not alone in using the educational system to twist and ruin the minds of children. Take a look at this monstrosity from Seattle:

SEATTLE PUBLIC SCHOOLS K-12 Math Ethnic Studies Framework (20.08.2019)

It’s child abuse, plain and simple. Some people shriek that YouTube and Parler and Gab and such lead to radicalization. No, the schools do an adequate job of that.

SpaceX is politically troublesome for certain groups. You’ve got your SLS fans, terrified that Starship/Superheavy will make the SLS and all its pork go away. You’ve got people terrified of the idea of capitalism, American exceptionalism, western civilization spreading out to the planets. You’ve got your crackpots who dislike western science and engineering rigor, thinking that such things are tools of the cishet white patriarchy or some such foolishness. Take your pick of villains, they’re opposed to SpaceX. As evidence, behold:

Justice Department investigating Elon Musk’s SpaceX following complaint of hiring discrimination

Who are SpaceX being accused of discriminating against? Non-US citizens. A US company that makes rockets and launches Defense Department payloads would rather employ Americans? How is this even remotely controversial?

“The charge alleges that on or about March 10, 2020, during the Charging Party’s interview for the position of Technology Strategy Associate, SpaceX made inquiries about his citizenship status and ultimately failed to hire him for the position because he is not a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident,” DOJ attorney Lisa Sandoval wrote in a court document filed Thursday.

Ina  rational world, this would be laughable. How is it even possible that non-citizens can demand employment at *any* US company, much less one vital to the continued existence of the United States as a going concern?

UPDATE: Elon lays it out. Several years ago.

October 2020:

“I have this strange notion, we are a democracy … if you can’t get the votes … you can’t [legislate] by executive order unless you’re a dictator. We’re a democracy. We need consensus.”

So, legislating by executive order is something dictators do.

In completely unrelated news that in no way could ever possibly reflect poorly on anyone…

Here are the executive orders Biden has signed so far

In his first six days in office, Biden issued 33 executive orders, actions, proclamations, memoranda and agency directives, primarily focused on addressing the Covid-19 pandemic and undoing former President Donald Trump’s actions.

Of those 33, apparently 21 are Executive Orders. Trump was the previous reigning champ with four EOs in his first week in office. Behold the majesty of democracy in action as President Baizuo spends a surprising amount of time trying to figure out what to do with his pen:

All sales are final.

Babylon 5 showed up on HBOMax today. I took a look at a few bits and pieces… “Severed Dreams” and “Sleeping In Light” to be precise – and can confirm that it looks great. It’s back to the original aspect ratio; it looks like some sort of processing was done to it so that it looks better than DVD quality, though clearly not super-duper upscaling. If anyone knows how long it’ll be on HBOMax, let me know. it would be nice if it’ll be there for a few years, but it’s hard to tell.

Now, consider this. A plot point in Season One is the election for Earth Alliance President. In the end, Luis Santiago wins the vote as President, and brings along Vice President Clark. By the end of Season One, Santiago is dead in an explosion of the transport vessel Earthforce One, and Clark is President. Clark does such a piss-poor job – screws with the economy, institutes departments devoted to deplatforming/depersoning people and squashing the views of those who disagree, gets the government into bed with badguys, creates a surveillance state that will punish you for wrongthink (literally, what with the Psi Corps), mandates political/ideological tests – that humanity splits apart and a civil war breaks out. On one side, Big Government, with all the power; on the other side, the people who just want to be left alone with their freedoms and their guns and their low taxes. Hijinks ensue, many die. Turns out Clark, under the influence of shadowy manipulators from far away, set up Santiagos assassination with a bomb.

One wonders if President Biden has a scheduled stop at a transfer station near a place called Io…
