Some sorta carnival ride or some damned thing. Didn’t pay any attention to it when we parked, but when we got out of the truck, there it was, big as life and twice as ugly.

Yeesh. Looks like the sort of nightmare-sauce that one would find in some abandoned Russian amusement park.

  1. looks like you fold down the seat in the belly, and it sucks the life out of you through your ass.
One of the Russian amusement park rides I saw over there was really cool.
Kids rode around in cars shaped like rockets that were suspended under the wings of a real MiG-15 that rotated on a pylon.
It was in Gorky Park and I wonder if it’s still there.

  2. Scott,I know what you are talking about…I remember some sculptures
for kids parks in Russia on darkroastedblend.com. Some of them are pretty scary.

  3. Not an amusement park ride, but pretty bizarre and morbid:

The Jardin des Plantes in Paris is a small zoo with 19th Century statuary of men being horribly killed by animals in various ways. A personal favorite os of a man being throttled by an orangutan, while a baby orangutan looks on with excitement. Pardon the link:

  4. I wonder if it was some balloon inflator–something for kids to shoot water through, like on Diamonds Are Forever.
