  1. dumb question, but why does the missile part have a retractable undercarriage?
    I assumed it was launched piggy-back style on the booster…

  2. I think this is the G-26 version of the missile which was intended to be a test version that could be landed on the skid strip and used again like the earlier X-10 jet propelled version. I don’t think they were ever sucessful in this. See THE NAVAHO MISSILE PROJECT by James N Gibson.
