The Avro Vulcan in Nebraska

OK, so there’s an X-Plane on a farm in Indiana, and a British strategic bomber in the Strategic Air and Space Museum in Nebraska. Sure. Why not?

    When I was stationed at Offutt AFB, Nebraska in the early 1980s… there was a RAF detachment stationed at the base. They flew the Vulcan bomber and when that sucker was getting ready to take off… she was loud. Loudest plane I’ve heard.
