Explosion in Nashville that damaged dozens of buildings is believed to be an intentional act

‘Evacuate now. There is a bomb’: Witness recalls chilling warning before explosion in Nashville that damages 20 buildings, injures 3

The story right now *seems* to be:

1: Around 4:30 AM, residents heard what sounded like rapid gunfire coming from an RV.

2: Cops were called.

3: RV starts loudly blatting out a recorded warning.

4: residents evacualt, bomb squad called.

5: RV explodes at 6:30 AM, causing significant damage.

This doesn’t sound like your traditional Jihadi terrorist… it seems that the explosion was set off when they were assured of there *not* being a  lot of people around. So far no reports of deaths. Some jackhole simply PO’ed at the world? Someone with a specific grudge against a business the RV was parked in front of? Someone simply looped directly out of their gourd? Someone simply try to send 2020 out with a bang?

In 1985, Rockwell International considered the possibility that there might be profit in clustering the External Tank from the Space Shuttle in Earth orbit. There the tanks could be filled with propellant to serve as orbital “gas stations,” or rebuilt into space habitats or other structures, or simple reprocessed for the raw structural materials. In order to do this the Shuttle would have to shed a noticeable fraction of total payload. Something not given a whole lot of thought was what to do about the insulating foam applied to the tanks; ultraviolet sunlight, thermal cycling and a harsh vacuum would cause the foam to break down ans turn each orbiting tank into a little comet, the nucleus of a cloud of foam bits.

Still, it would have been nice if the tanks had been used rather than simply dumped into the Indian Ocean.

So why not, I’ve uploaded another video of the QM-1 static test from way back in 2015 to YouTube. This one was with a handheld camera, so expect a bit of shakeycam. Bonus: I missed ignition by eleven seconds or so. Consequently, you miss an opportunity to hear what I sound like when I cuss profusely.

The video posted back in 2015:

Not *complete* good news, but a step in the right direction:

St. Louis Prosecutor Taken Off Case Of Couple Who Brandished Guns At BLM Protesters

Kim Gardner is the prosecutor who decided that the act of guarding your home is a criminal one by arresting and charging the McCloskeys. She subseqeuently used her persecution of these people for political fundraising, showing that this is all about a show trial. She has more to her list of shameful acts than just that though. She sounds like a real winner:

her failed prosecution of then-Gov. Eric Greitens. That latter case actually resulted in one of Gardner’s own investigators being indicted and hundreds of thousands of taxpayers dollars being spent to defend Gardner herself in subsequent litigation.

In January, Gardner filed a bizarre federal civil rights lawsuit alleging a vast, racist conspiracy against her by the city, the St. Louis police officers union and others. In September, U.S. District Judge John Ross summarily dismissed her 32-page complaint as disjointed and unsupported by facts.

And, of course, after all this nonsense she won re-election.
