Most places in the civilized world, when one civilian attacks another in a “hate crime,” it’s because that other person is noticeably *other.* Things like a different ethnicity, a different nationality, different religion, different sexuality. But Brits… they clobber each other over the silliest things:
If the Daily Fail here is to be trusted, one woman pounded another simply because the second had a Scottish accent. This occurred in some place called “South Tyneside,” which I looked up on Google Maps… it’s a whole 125 miles from Edinburgh, Scotland. For giggles, I checked the distance from where I am to Provo, Utah… 122 miles.
A reader suggested via email that in addition to the “Tip Jar” I set up automatic PayPal “subscriptions.” I have doubts regarding this, but I don’t suppose it can hurt, and maybe the world is loaded with people who desperately *want* to support the Unwanted Blog, but wish there was an easier way to do it on a monthly basis. Well, if so… here ya go. The drop-down menu provides for a range of monthly automatic payments.
There’re no particular goodies associated with the various subscriptions, apart from the warm fuzzy feeling I’m sure you’ll get knowing that you’re supporting a goofy aerospace nerd and his cats.
