An interesting and lengthy (by internet standards) article on the “bath salts” drugs that have gained popularity and driven a bunch of users buggo:

The Drug That Never Lets Go

While “never” is likely an extreme exaggeration, it’s one of the features of bath salts that the effects last a really, really long time .

A point to consider: the damage that synthetic drugs seem to be capable of is greater than that brought on by most drugs naturally occurring drugs. So it’s worth asking if “bath salts” would even exist if pot was legal.

In short, a French satyrical magazine has decided to publish some more “Mohammad cartoons,” and the French government expects there to be violence both at home and abroad. So they’re getting ahead of it by announcing that the French police will wade in and bust heads if protests form.

This is a bit of artwork where the field of fifty stars representing the fifty States has been replaced with the Obama logo, and the seven red stripes have been replaced with five red smears of blood.

As with the “yard sale for Obama” nonsense from a few days ago, this is the sort of thing I’d be tempted to believe was actually a hoax perpetrated by some anti-Obama group. But then there’s this:

While work on the LK CAD model continues, a bit of a break in the process has allowed me to jam completion of the Tremulis Zero Fighter CAD model into the schedule. This will be a 1/48 scale kit from Fantastic Plastic, and will stand about 16.9 inches tall. Shown below are some renders with the Hydra Parasit (also 1/48) for scale.

And could be put to death.

Yes, Obama was right to doubt that Egypt is an ally. Of course, Egypt went from “ally” to “not ally” under his watch, so…

Still, credit where it’s due:

The Egyptian governments lame reaction to anti-American violence may (and I stress MAY) finally result in Egypt getting cut off from the billion and a half dollars the US lavishes upon them annually. Up to me, I’d give that money to Israel, on top of what we already give ’em. After all, Judaism gets mocked all the time in the US (often enough by Jewish comedians), and yet you rarely see Israelis trying to destroy the US embassy.

Hill has a Stealth

I wandered by Hill Aerospace Museum a while back and was surprised to see that they have an AGM-129 stealth cruise missile on display. On close inspection, this one seems to have been “restored” by spackling over all the surface details. Granted there weren’t that many to begin with, but they even plugged up the tailpipe.
