Huh.

Utica Sculpture Residency Vandals Are Under the Age of 11, Police Say

Five Mostly Peaceful Vandals aged 8 to 11 pretty effectively trashed an upstate New York art… place. Workship. Studio. Collective. Whatever. The photos in that and an earlier article make it clear these little monsters were on a mission of destruction. The artists have set up a “gofundme” type thing to help rebuild, with a goal of $75,000. Seems to me the kids families should be the immediate go-to for reimbursement. According to the funding campaign, damage includes:

  • All windows, interior and exterior, have been smashed
  • The entire office along with accompanying communication and computer equipment, important archival documents and information, and furniture have been severely damaged and destroyed
  • The entire kitchen, kitchenware, and equipment were smashed and spread throughout the studio area
  • The bathrooms and hallway were flooded and damaged
  • Several donated art pieces for CHAIRity have been partially damaged or completely destroyed
  • Furniture and storage units throughout were destroyed or rendered useless
  • Camera and video technologies have been smashed and destroyed
  • Lighting was busted or smashed
  • Multiple bicycles for use by artists-in-residence were stolen

Kids these days. I look forward to the exciting and innovative excuses that will be made for them.

I know a lot of modern art sucks and often resembles actual garbage more than art, but come on.

In “Jaws,” the Sheriff takes out the shark by shooting a SCUBA tank with an M-1 Garand. The tank, clenched in the sharks jaws, kerplodes and shreds the Shark. Many years later Mythbusters tried to do the same thing, with the result that nothing much happened: holes were poked in the tank and it quickly blew down, but didn’t explode. Myth busted.

But then… GunTuber Edwin Sarkissian put an oxygen tank in a safe and shot through them with a .50 BMG rifle. The results were energetic and nearly Kentucky Ballistics in their effect. “Put a thumb in it” would not have been sufficient.

Not entirely relevant: restoration of a Pakistani home-made Kalashnikov 12-gauge shotgun, left in a wall for a number of years and rusted badly. Back when I lived in a free state I had a 12-gauge AK, and it was fun as hell to shoot… but you couldn’t pay me enough to pull the trigger on this thing.

Project Veritas had an enlightening hidden-camera chat with a public school assistant principal. In it he describes how to go about making sure that conservative employee candidates are rejected on the basis of their politics, how Democrat/progressive politics are injected into the classroom, how religious discrimination is normalized. It should be interesting to see if he maintains his employment. The chances that he’s alone in his practices is essentially zero, so expect that someone like this may well be at work in *your* school district.

Only one murder so far!

Dancing revellers crash through a bus stop ROOF near Notting Hill Carnival as partygoers enjoy first event in two years since Covid – while police arrest 38 people including two for sexual assault

How long until Britain is just a fading memory among people in far-flung lands?

So who knew that newly manufactured rolls of foam sheeting are full of butane gas? This guy does. Well, he knows it *now.*

Fun fact:

https://www.borealisgroup.com/polyolefins/polymer-solutions/foam-solutions/10-frequently-asked-questions-about-po-foam

Question 1: Which physical foaming agent (gas) is the best in PP foam production?

Answer 1: The choice of the best physical foaming agent depends on the target foam. Hydrocarbons, like iso- or n-butane, are used in production of the lowest density foams, whereas inert gases, like supercritical CO2 or N2, are used in production of foams with densities typically higher than 200 kg/m3.

Canadian veteran suffering from PTSD and a traumatic brain injury was offered EUTHANASIA when he called Veteran Affairs Canada hotline for help – as Canadian Government orders ‘full and thorough’ investigation into the case

Well, euthanasia *is* a form of healthcare. So as the economic burden of taking care of vast numbers of poor, sick “migrants” and “refugees” continues to mount in places like the US and UK, expect to see euthanasia offered – and then pushed – onto those where the math just doesn’t add up. If you cost more than you add via taxes, if you vote the wrong way, if you don’t make the demographic quotas look right, or if you just contact a government employee who’s having an off day, is in  a particular mood, or if he/she/it/they simply dosen’t like the sound of your voice… well, there’s an easier, cheaper way to deal with your heart disease or cancer or PTSD or chronic acne.

Assisted suicide is spiralling out of control in Canada

Next year, Canada will begin allowing mentally ill individuals to qualify for assisted suicide under this formulation, and it is likely that this autumn the government will receive a parliamentary report recommending that children deemed competent (“mature minors”) should also be eligible.

*NEAT.*

I’m all in favor of euthanasia when the situation calls for it. Are you being eaten alive by a horrific cancer that cannot be cured? Are you trapped in a wreck of a body with no hope of any sort of quality of life? Is your nervous system on fire, making every moment unending agony, with no prospect of fixing it? Then, yeah, I can see taking a few deep lungs full of pure nitrogen as a merciful alternative. But because you’re *sad?* That’s a “no” from me, buddy. Especially Canada’s nonsense about making mental illness among minors eligible for an assisted dirtnap… because how many hormonal teenagers *can’t* be fairly described as bugnuts? Get them away from the social media and their weirdo pervert teachers, deprogram them from CRT and SJW, and just let them mature a bit, and most people will be fine.

And euthanasia should almost never be promoted by the people paying the bills.

The video below has some slightly spicy language. I’m not entirely sure, but I think he’s a little upset about this.

Uphold the cliche, buddy.

It will take a degree in higher mathematics to calculate the charges this guy racked up.

Subject In Early Morning Carjacking, Other Charges, Arrested in Gainesville

    • Arrested:  Brandon J. Baker, black male, 11/23/88
    • Incident Date/Time:  8/23/2022 at 4:05 AM
    • Incident Type:  Carjacking; Burglary with Battery, Kidnapping; Grand Theft Auto
    • Victim Info:  1/black female, early 40’s’; 2/black female, early 30’s; 3/white male, early 50’s

Just after 4:00 AM on August 23, Tampa Police responded to the report of a carjacking in the 16000 block of Enclave Village Dr. Victim #1 was confronted by an armed subject as she entered her car while preparing to leave for work. The suspect, later identified as 33-year-old Brandon J Baker, demanded she exit the car, then fled the scene in the victim’s black Nissan Maxima. The victim was not injured.

Minutes later, officers responded to a 911 call in the 6200 block of Ashbury Palms Dr. Reportedly, Baker forcibly entered a residence after committing the carjacking, and confronted victim #2, who is a known acquaintance. Baker forced the victim out of the residence and into the Maxima. The victim was able to escape, at which time Baker fled the scene prior to police arrival. The Maxima was found abandoned at Tampa Palms Blvd. and Compton Dr. The victim was not injured.

Approximately an hour later, Tampa Police responded to the report of a stolen vehicle that had just occurred in the 18000 block of Highwoods Preserve Pkwy. Victim #3 was in the back of his white Isuzu box truck. When he exited the rear of the truck, he observed Baker in the driver seat. Baker then fled in the truck, which was equipped with GPS.

The truck’s location was determined, and the Florida Highway Patrol attempted a traffic stop entering Alachua County. Baker refused to stop and began driving north in the southbound lanes of I-75. At multiple points the Alachua County Sheriff’s Office attempted to stop the vehicle without success. Baker struck multiple law enforcement vehicles. Baker attempted to flee on foot but was taken into custody by members of FHP & Alachua County Sheriff’s Office. Two Alachua County Deputies sustained minor injuries. No Florida Highway Patrol Troopers were injured.

Baker is currently in Alachua County Jail, charged with Armed Carjacking, Burglary with Battery, Kidnapping, and Grand Theft Auto related to the incidents that occurred in Tampa, as well as multiple felony charges related to the incidents that occurred in Alachua County.

Let’s Go Brandon. Dude needs to go away forever. he started off his day with an armed carjacking; that alone merits a free trebuchet ride. Then he put *hundreds* of civilians at risk, at one point almost plowing into a school bus.

I’m all in favor of megaprojects. Hell, some years ago I made a pretty good stab at a book on the subject… half history of such projects, half illustrated manual of such projects, and half manifesto calling for mankind to plow ahead with such projects. Things like solar power satellites, O’Neill habitats, supra-mundane terraforming, orbital rings, terraformed asteroids (inside and out), Dyson swarms, all that. If mankind is going to make it long-term, we are going to have to do such things, and do rather a lot of them. We will eventually tear apart whole solar systems to rebuild them better. And to get from Here to There, we are going to have to do a lot of intermediate projects… and a lot of them will fail. I suspect that a fair proportion of the early space habitats will turn into disasters; early Mars colonies will be death traps; solar power satellites will fold up like origami. It’s sad, but it’s likely inevitable. It’s not like the history of Europeans colonizing the world was a history of unalloyed success from the get-go; there are whole colonies that just up and friggen’ vanished. But humans learn from such things and do better the next time… and soon enough, the same people who vanished like a fart in the wind at Roanoke have built New York City.

That said: not all megaprojects sound like good ideas. Some that seem like they are probably technically feasible sound like logistic or sociological nightmares. Such is the case with The Line, a whackadoo concept for a skyscraper taller than the Empire State Building… and hundreds of kilometers long. Worse, they want to build the thing in the desert. Worst, they want to build it in *Arabia.* No matter how bad your idea is, building it in a backwards theocratic superstitious cesspit will make your idea even worse.

A 129-Foot Superyacht Worth Millions Sinks Off the Italian Coast

It’s not clear who owns My Saga, which sails under the Cayman Islands flag. It was built by Italian shipmaker Cantieri San Marco and designed by popular British superyacht designer Tim Heywood. The vessel, which had a teak deck and could accommodate up to 12 passengers, was one of only 1,068 motor yachts in the 35- to 40-meter size range, according to Boat International.

Not even remotely related, but substantially sadder:

China made their dugongs extinct. Good job, ya commie bastards. And pay attention you brain-addled reprobates who think that capitalism is bad for the environment: putting things into the hands of government is *worse.*
