Ah, Fisker Automotive, the manufacturer of electric hybrid automobiles that received a $528 million loan from the FedGov, part of Obama’s “green” energy stimulus. What have they produced? Well, the Fisker Karma seems like a snazzy car… it seems to attain a fuel economy of 26 mpg, and has a sticker price of only $102,000. After “Cash For Clunkers,” how is this not a fantastic deal for your average family looking to trade in that Honda Civic for something more economical in these hard economic times?

Anyway, the Karma has another neat trick beyond costing twenty times what most people can afford while getting little better or actually worse gas mileage. For most gas cars, if you make the blunder of driving into water more than a foot or two deep, your car will up and die on you as water gets drawn into the engine and kills combustion. But the Fisker? Being electric, you don’t need to worry about the engine stalling. No, you will have no such worries about that, because you’ll be too busy trying to abandon ship as your advanced new car bursts into flames and burns down to the waterline:

More Than A Dozen Fisker Karma Hybrids Caught Fire And Exploded In New Jersey Port After Sandy

That’s outstanding.

BBC poll: Rest of world favours Obama

And by a pretty wide margin, too:

An average of 50% favoured Mr Obama, with 9% for Mr Romney, in the survey of 21,797 people in 21 countries.

As I’ve made clear, Romney isn’t exactly a thrilling candidate. But when the rest of the world despises him so much in favor of a man who is working to reduce Americas standing, wealth and future, he must be doing something right.

With 99% of the precincts reporting in, Obama has 40,237,966 votes, while Romney has 38,116,216 votes.

Now, this may seem odd given that the election is actually two weeks away… but a CBS News affiliate has already called it:

You don’t have to be a fan of conspiracy theories to see something kinda fishy here.

Along with the generic “WTF??” there’s also this important question: 43% + 40% = 83%. Who got the other 17%? Ross Perot?

Well, this time at least Obama was awake. It was clear that he had had a whole bunch of talking points jammed into him ready to be spewed forth… as did Romney. One thing I just can’t stand, but cant seem to get away from, is “Let me tell you a little story about a down-home regular family that blah, blah, blah…”

And rather not unexpected were all the accusations of “You lie!” though not in such explicit words. What was new was the moderator jumping in and taking a side in the middle of the debate… and getting it wrong.

Last day or so the interwebs have been boiling over with engineered outrage over a photo of a man at a Romney rally wearing a T-shirt reading “Put the white back in the White House. For example, this:

Conservatives Want to ‘Put the White Back in the White House’

While it’s to be expected that leftists flacks will leap to this sort of conclusion, you also get minor snippets in “news” organizations like this:

Check Out This Mitt Romney Supporter’s Horrendously Racist Fashion Statement

And this:

Offensive ‘Put the White Back in the White House’ T-shirt spotted at Romney rally

The T-shirt is apparently newsworthy. But nobody has bothered to find the guy and find out if he’s really a Romney supported… or a plant. Remember, back in 2010 when the Tea Party movement was picking up steam, there was an organized effort to do This Very Sort Of Thing… the “Crash The Tea Party” movement. I pointed it out back then:

“False Flag Operations” against the “Tea Partiers”

It seems to me far more likely that this guy went there and wore what he wore specifically to make Romney look bad. Not only does the specifics of the case suggest it, but The Plan to do just this sort of thing has been in place for *years.*

The fact that journalists are happy to report this guy as a conservative racist without actually trying to find any evidence suggesting that’s the case, when there is a well-known and active effort to fake this sort of thing for political gain, indicates that the journalistic profession… just ain’t that professional.

Generally when someone holds forth about the U.N. taxing American citizen directly, you can be assured of some real weapons-grade paranoid ramblings. Still, there’s some stuff in this article by former Democrat operative Dick Morris that may be worth some pondering:

On the whole I’m dubious. Signing a treaty that would allow the U.N. to take money directly out of the pockets of American citizens would be political suicide. The question is whether there are enough leftists in the Senate who are either politically dimwitted enough to not understand that this would cost them their jobs or ideologically driven enough to not care (or to believe that this will make them heroes in this eyes of the voters) to support such treaties. Again, I’m dubious. First and foremost politicians of *every* stripe want, above all else, the power to dominate and control the little people… and this would end that power for them.
Lame ducks, however, might just support such things just out of spite.

A recently released video of Candidate Obama in 2007, speaking to a group of black ministers. Along with some pretty blatant racism on his part and some lavish praise of the extremely racist Rev. Wright, what I found most interesting is his speaking style. His *accent* seems to be quite different from what he usually employs.

Lockheed Will Not Issue WARN Act Notices In 2012

Short form:

1) The “sequestration” issue, due to kick in January 2, means that the military budget will be cut

2) Budget cuts means that contractors will be forced to do layoffs.

3) Federal law means that companies with more than 100 employees need to provide employees 90 day warnings of layoffs, or suffer the wrath of lawsuits

4) The timing of the sequestration means that the 90-day notices will need to go out a few days prior to the elections.

Since the military cuts/layoffs would be laid right at the feet of the President who has done little to nothing to prevent them, this would be bad news. But wait! There’s good news! Lockheed has signed an agreement with the White House so that they *won’t* issue 90-day warnings for layoffs. And how can this be legal? Well, it ain’t. Thus Lockheed can expect lawsuits. So why would they agree to this? Because the White House is going to reimburse Lockheed for the cost of any lawsuits. And where will this money for Lockheed violating federal law come from? Why… you chumps, the taxpayers!

Awesome, yes?
