Junior anti-human rights fascist David Hogg is continung to try to stay relevant by updating his “look,” as if anyone but the most shallow and venal celebritards actually give a damn about such things. So he posts a photo to Twitter, and the reactions… well, they’re not especially kind.

And so:

Two “house of worship” attempted massacres in as many days. The second time, a schmuck with a shotgun tries to take out a church in Texas. And this time, he got about five seconds into doing his thing when *he* got shot. The video makes for interesting viewing if you’re into that sort of thing… and it makes for an *impressive* bit of marksmanship, as one guy caps the badguy in the noggin with a single shot from across the room after a fast draw. The *first* guy to get shot  telegraphed his draw, which is probably why he got shot. If you don’t like seeing random churchgoers getting shot, this is not a video to watch. If you want to see villains getting shot, then this is a video to watch. If you want to learn what to do and not to do, then this should prove helpful. An important lesson here: a slow draw, if someone is pointing a shotgun at you, will get you shot first. Learn to draw fast and shoot accurately… or keep your weapon out of sight. I am all in favor of open carry for those who want to, but this video points out the problem of letting badguys know that you are armed: they’ll shoot you first.

No info as yet about the who/why of the shooter. However, we do know this: Presidential Candidate Gropey Joe Biden would, had he had his way, have had this incident be a lot bloodier:

Gimmy the Winter Solstice Goblin has a gift for the people of Virginia:

Virginia Governor Northam Increases Corrections Budget In Anticipation Of Jailing Gun Owners

Anyone with a brain recognizes that anything even *remotely* resembling a civil war in the US would be a tragedy of monumental proportions and should be avoided. The only people who might benefit from such an event would be Americas geopolitical adversaries. Which makes one wonder why the Virginia Democrats are working so hard to make another civil war happen. Perhaps the Democratic Party should be broken up under RICO statutes, and higher ranking members investigated by the FBI for possible collusion with the Russians?

Who would have expected that *Virginia* would be the state with the most restrictive gun-grabber laws?

Repeat after these Democrat talking points:

“Nobody is coming to take your guns.” Except, of course, when they are. And in one of the most hilariously ironic headlines of the last decade…

‘The law is the law’: Virginia Democrats float prosecution and National Guard deployment if police don’t enforce gun control

Democrats have repeatedly called for making speech they disagree with illegal, for ignoring the Constitution where it suits them, for using nuclear weapons on American citizens who simply want to be left alone. How is that somehow less impeachment worthy than whatever they frak they were babbling about with Trump?

I’ve been looking for diagrams of the Vulcan for decades. Anybody?

UPDATE: Stumbled across this…

https://www.germanmanuals.com/images/TheMGunV5.pdf

Not the *perfect* diagrams for my M61 Vulcan needs, but adequate… and with buckets of other stuff. The first is one volume of five on machine guns… “The Machine Gun” by USMC Colonel George Chinn. I’d rather have the actual book itself than an indifferent scan… but on Abebooks, the only complete set of volumes 1-5 runs a modest $850.  So oddly enough, I suddenly find myself satisfied with the scan.

And to a lesser degree this:

Put together…. a *vast* supply of diagrams for guns, bombs and missiles. Handy for model makers and such.

So what happens when you use laws to make owning a gun legally difficult? You incentivize the trade in illegal guns. And you incentivize the manufacture of home-made guns.

California HS shooter used untraceable ‘ghost gun,’ sheriff says

And it wasn’t even an Evil AR-15, but a mundane .45 caliber pistol, built off the books Because firearm manufacture, especially now in the era of affordable CNC mills, is within the grasp not just of registered firearms corporations, but of modestly dedicated amateurs.
