Just… wow. While the authorities in this case are technically in the right… damn, they could be somewhat less jackholish about it.

The county should force the HOA to foot the bill for the family moving, force them to buy their house at market +10%, and fine them several million dollars. Time to f**k over these little nazis.
Another example of why I will never own a home in an HOA. Even if someone offered to give it to me, I would not accept a home in an HOA. All they are is an opportunity for some people to live out there little gestapo fantasies.
I have seen way to many examples of their abuses of the HOA’s power.
How does the president of that HOA sleep at night?

Most likely they expect to pick up that house for pennies on the dollar and flip it for a major profit. Perhaps the Feds need to investigate just WHO owns the majority of property in that HOA, that would probably answer quite a few questions right there.
