That passageway to the docking collar looks awful claustrophobic…especially if you’re wearing a pressure suit.
Wasn’t that Titan III transtage noted for not being very reliable?
Three out of forty failed in some way. Not good, but not horrendous for the era.

The Dyna Soar would use a separate solid rocket motor for retro. Initially a Thiokol XM-92.
