I’m going with the second most popular definition of the word “jit” as defined by Urban Dictionary, what with the first most popular being rather NSFW:
The term jit is originally prison slang. It just means somebody younger than you. However, it is most often used to refer to young thugs/wannabe thugs or other punky kids. For instance, you wouldn’t call your 10-year-old cousin a jit.

And now, how the word is used in actual practice (with substantial NSFW language):

HAM” as it turns out is Word Of The Day #2.

Children are our future, yo.

Weep.

Nothing a size 12 in the ass wouldn’t fix.

As numerous commenters (elsewhere) have pointed out, one thing a size 12 in the ass would solve is the heartache of having any excess cash when this lil’ dickens parent(s) get hold of a lawyer to sue you.

I was thinking the parent’s size 12. But then if they ever used it the little shit wouldn’t be like this in the first place. Too bad the store can’t sue the parents (can’t take their food stamps).

    Short for “idjit”?

      Nope:

Just people mispronouncing the British English word “git” that carries essentially the same meaning. In British English it’s a hard G sound.

Yeah, I recall the first time I encountered the word, in the Beatles song “I’m So Tired”, “And curse Sir Walter Raleigh, he was such a stupid git” (the singer can’t
sleep, and is having another cigarette).

Maybe I would have heard it sooner if I spent my youth watching Masterpiece Theater rebroadcasts of British shows instead of listening to rock music…

No, you’d have had had to have watched Monty Python.
