Say howdy to the next memecat to dominate the interwebs: Tucker, currently up for adoption (nope… just adopted) at Purrfect Pals, a cat shelter near Seattle, Washington. Tucker has a genetic anomaly that makes her face droop and her skin real thin.

Like Grumpy Cat and Lil Bub, Tucker is visually interesting because she’s, well, deformed. And like Grumpy Cat, the owners of Tucker can probably work things out so that she becomes a valuable resource. But Tucker seems to be especially “special needs,” so one hopes that proper care is taken.

And because why not… here, have another Chemistry Cat:

Hopefully some idiot breeder won’t try and make it a full on breed ala the Sphynx. Being cruel to a single cat is criminal – being cruel to a hundred thousand by breeding genetic defects is fashionable.

I would hope that the shelter would make sure that the person that they let adopt such a special needs cat would be understanding and willing to give Tucker a good home.

I know that most cat rescue shelters will have those fixed before adoption so I don’t see him being exploited in the way ReindeerFlotilla fears.

Having a flashback to when I looked at my mirror this morning. I wonder if I have that skin thing? Maybe it was just the first day back after a 3 day weekend. I’m going with at least it’s not Monday as my ‘paradigm of hope’.

I don’t use avatars on message boards, but if I did–it would be this one. Move over grumpy cat–this better fits most of us overworked stooges.
