Darkness at the edge of town: growing up in hell
Some highlights:
a dozen small children were removed
malnourished, filthy, could barely talk, had appalling hygiene
intergenerational incest.
It took two years before the department acted.
And here’s the exciting bit:
Genetic tests showed that all but one child of the 12 removed had parents who were related or closely related to each other.
