Looking at doing the free downloadable screensaver thing with some of my photos – aircraft, nature, scenery, etc. A number of resolutions seem to be in play. What is your screen set to?

    Well, I’m 1920 X 1200

1920×1200 and 1440×900 at least have the advantage of having the same aspect ratio (1.6:1). So a photo sized at 1920X1200 would fit comfortably on both.

But jeez, 10204X768 would look like a ribbon….

  • 1680×1050 main monitor, 1280×1024 extra monitor.

    1024 x 768 is what I think Doug meant :o)

That is the settings for this monitor at work, let me check around the office…
Seems to be the ‘default’ setting for most of the government monitors I’m using :o)

I’ve got about twice that at home on one computer, but it IS a HD monitor after all. I keep having to re-arrange things though when I access stuff on my ‘normal’ computer as the HD rearranges everything :o)

Oh, and from the title I’m SO glad my wife is not the only person who does ‘accents’ in text :o)
(My mistake was taking her to Mississippi with me, I blame myself I should have guessed I’d fall for someone else who has a talent for picking up accents. Though the expressions on peoples faces when were in Germany and she’d end a conversation in German with “Y’all” was probably worth the price :o)

Wow, all over the damned place:
    1024 x 768
    1920 X 1200
    1920 x 1200
    2560 x 1600

And Wikipedia, the source of all knowledge in the modern world, says: “Common wallpaper resolutions are 800×600, 1024×768, 1280×1024 and 1600×1200”

Unless there are objections, I’ll go with:

  • out of the last 10,000 visitors to my site, the screen res were set as follows! (the unkown is a bit odd!)

    Perc. Resolution
    35.17% 1280×1024
    32.69% 1024×768
    23.26% Unknown
    3.34% 800×600
    3.22% 1152×864
    2.25% 1600×1200
    0.06% 640×480
