Issue V1N6 of the new electronic APR (PDF file format on CD-ROM) features four main articles. The primary article in this issue is a 50+-page article on American submarine aircraft carrier projects since the 1920's. Described are the Boeing AN-1 submarine design from 1958, designed to carry eight Mach 3 VTOL strike planes; a 1963 General Dynamics concept for a truly massive sub that could carry more than 40 VTOL fighters; US Navy designs from the early '20's; and several aircraft meant to operate from submarines. Many diagrams, including detailed inboard views, are provided.

The next article is a 10-page article by Dennis R. Jenkins about a 1960 North American Aviation concept for a self-deploying space station. This Saturn V-launched design would form a toroidal structure and would rotate for artificial gravity. This article contains diagrams as well as artwork and drawings of related artificial gravity space stations.

Also included is an 9-page article by Bill Slayton on Lockheed CL-346 F-104-derived VTOL fighter/bomber concepts. Includes numerous layout, inboard and component drawings of six different designs, including tilt-jet and tailsitter concepts.

An 8-page article on the Junkers RT 8-1-01 "Raumtransporter," a 1960's German design for a small, manned fully-reusable two-stage-to-orbit spaceplane. Includes artwork, diagrams and all-new drawings.

Lastly, small articles ("Aerospace History Nuggets") on several minor design concepts, including:
Vought V-524 tailless VTOL fighter
Boeing Model 767-732, a double-decker jetliner with very unusual wings
