So SpaceX launched Starship SN11 today. Unfortunately it exploded in flight shortly after the landing burn was initiated; exactly what happened isn’t yet clear. In no small part due to the fact that it couldn’t be seen.

Two girls decided to car jack a guy, speeding off with the owner of the car hanging out the door. They then flipped the car, killing him; in the video you can see one of the girls is much more concerned about the phone she left in the car than the man she just butchered.

An *accident.* In which he was “fatally injured.” Let me correct the wording for them:
Police said the girls, 13 and 15, assaulted an Uber Eats driver with a Taser while carjacking him, which led to the driver being murdered.
Feel free to speculate why CNN might want to water down their messaging in this story.
One hopes that it leads to a felony murder trial and, if convicted, life in prison. But it won’t, what with them being underaged and all. They will be out back into the public with a *lot* of time left to ruin more lives. Fun side note: these two aren’t alone in their disdain for human life… they’re just the two that got caught on video.

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay. Dad must be *so* proud.
You know… you be you, so long as you’re not hurting anyone else. But… if you’re not helping anyone, including yourself, nobody else has any obligation to do or say anything in support of your choices. If you go out of your way to not only look far outside the mainstream, but actually devote a sizable fraction of your entire existence to making a spectacle of yourself… meh.
Once again, I suspect an interesting sci-fi story could be written base don this idea that this sort of thing is the visible manifestation of an alien “worldwrecker” attack on humanity, some sort of mind controlling/distorting field that is trying to make humanity self destructive and/or non-reproductive.

The case in question dates from an incident back in 2015. But the Biden/Harris CCP Caretaker Administration wanting the Supreme Court to uphold the idea of warrantless firearm confiscations (along with warrantless searches of homes) just because the government and its agents want to disarm a law-abiding citizen. This would be a blatant violation not only of the Second Amendment but the Fourth as well.
Why even continue with the pretense of a Constitution at that point?

City student passes 3 classes in four years, ranks near top half of class with 0.13 GPA
The student got a B in PE, and D’s in English I and Health Ed I. Failed *everything* else. The mother was aware of this. And now that the student is approaching the date when he should have graduated high school, he’s been informed that he will have to repeat *all* of High School, straight back to 9th grade. *Hundreds* of students this school have failed worse than this one. After essentially failing English 1 (he got a D-), he was promoted to English 2. Which he failed. And was then promoted to English 3. Which he failed. He was absent or late 272 times.
The video at the link is entertainingly depressing in a “this is the future” sort of way. Shockingly, the mother claims that her lil’ scholar didn’t “deserve” to be failed. She blames the school for this. The says that her son feels like a failure… and that he *shouldn’t* feel like that. Even though… ummm… he’s a failure. How else to describe someone who got a 0.13 and basically ditched school? “Who do he turn to?” she asks, making it clear right off how someone can fail English. “Don’t he get a chance?” she ax, missing the point that he had four years worth of chances.
The former principal of the school was placed on administrative leave for 17 months while an investigation was carried out. During that time, she made $190,000.
The “city” in question is Baltimore.
The student failed.
The parent(s) failed.
The school failed.
The city government failed.
The voters who kept voting for the machine running Baltimore failed.
The political party running Baltimore is the same one that wants to have complete control over who gets to exercise Constitutional rights.
I’ve mentioned before that I have a fix for this sort of thing. To all appearances, this was a student who wads not only failed by the system and his family, he seemed to have no interest in doing any of the schoolwork himself. OK, fine. For such students, let them out at the end of, say, the 10th grade. tehn let them enter the work force. A few options:
1: Get a real job. Flip burgers, dig ditches, whatever.
2: Go in the the new Works Projects Administration. He and a few hundred thousand or million of his like-mined non-academics can receive pay and training and room and board from the government, and get a chance to see the country. They’d get loaded onto buses or trains and shipped to rural areas to work the farms, doing the jobs that illegal aliens did before the laws were finally enforced and they were all deported.
3: Do nothing. Fine, it’s a free country, can’t, shouldn’t and won’t force anyone to do anything. But also, no welfare of any kind. Ever.
4: After six months of uninterrupted employment or WPA service, they can elect to go back to school… where they will maintain at least a 2.0 GPA and a spotless behavioral record. Or back to the WPA.

So as the new Harris/Biden administration came in, they and their allies in Congress started a push for new gun control, up to and including making it a federal crime to own what you already own. But there hasn’t been a lot of forward motion on these bills.

I suspect that the Alex Jones types will start yapping about these being planned attacks intended to bolster the gun grabber agenda. That seems incredibly unlikely to me, though the timing seems interesting. Less likely than Lefties planning and carrying out attacks like this is the idea that Lefties being in powwer drives whackos slightly more whacko.
Normal day-to-day murders do not float gun grabbers boat, because reasons. But mass shootings? They’ll be on that like a fat kid on a Twix. As a general rule, I never trust any politician or political movement or ideology that thrives on disaster and tragedy. But the fact that I don’t like ’em doesn’t mean they don’t exist or aren’t effective.

Once again Project Veritas does the job the rest of the media refuses to, showing how the Biden/Harris administration is stacking up kids in cages like cheap foil-wrapped gas station burritos.
A lot of these illegals are infected with Covid… and they are being packed together. And *then* they’ll be shipped out to various locations across the US, generally “red state” regions. Feel free to guess whether or not this will be interpreted as the administration carrying out an act of biological warfare against red states. Rather than deporting them back across the border, they’re being flown north to near the Canadian border among other places; a further $86 million is being spent to procure hotel rooms in Texas and Arizona to house illegal aliens. Note that the aliens aren’t paying for these rooms… *taxpayers* are.

The Left’s war on the future of mankind has been understood for a while, but Bernie Sanders said the quiet part out loud:

Mr Sanders then circled back on the Space X founder on Sunday: “Space travel is an exciting idea, but right now we need to focus on Earth and create a progressive tax system so that children don’t go hungry, people are not homeless and all Americans have healthcare. The level of inequality in America is obscene and a threat to our democracy.”
One of these men wants a better future for mankind. The other wants stagnation and squalor from now until the sun dies.

Sanders and his ilk and their supporters would, in a sensible world, be laughed right out of public life as the morons they are. And that’s the generous view. There’s the saying “don’t attribute to malice what can be explained with incompetence,” and there’s a lot of validity to that. But malice *does* exist, and it is more and more difficult to explain away the far lefts’ damaging policies and beliefs as being purely the result of being naive idiots. More and more the explanation that many of them are legitimately crazy or – witness a certain Representative from California – bedding the enemy. What’s Sanders story? He was buddy-buddy with the Soviets back in the day. He was a fellow traveler with their policies. While the Soviets are properly in the dustbin of history, sadly their hatred of the United States and capitalism survives. Those who screech the loudest about “fascism” should be looked at with skepticism for their acceptance of and often support of socialism. If western civilization survives and leaves the Earth, it will look back on socialism and socialists as cancerous burdens gratefully left behind.
