I’ve been preoccupied of late, with minimal updating of the blog apart from some commenting. This situation will revert back to normal in a few days. In the meantime, please to enjoy the following recent semi-random images of Utah…

Regarding DSC_9565: if you get any ideas, that’s your responsibility. Leave me out of it, I don’t want to know.

  1. The reptile appears to be a spiny lizard (Sceloporus) of some sort, but I haven’t tracked down the exact species yet.

  2. Pretty pictures. Thanks Scott

  3. OK, I’ll bite, whose got the dirty mind? That is a peculiar looking magma vent, I will admit that.

And 9017 is SPECTACULAR!!! The reflection of the mountains is way cool.

  4. _Very_ peculiar in that it seems to be coming out of sedimentary layers of red sandstone rather than the side of a volcano. 😉
I think its a water erosion feature of some kind, not where baby volcanoes come from.

  5. That’s what gets Father Nature rock hard

  6. Yes, you all must have dirty minds,or at least some of you. Where’s
    the lips?
