One of the more striking individual “hoodoos” at Bryce Canyon National Park is known as “Thors Hammer,” and for obvious reasons.

I used to love the way, in 1960s British black-and-white reprints of Marvel Comics, Thor flew by whirling his hammer around his head, letting go for a second, and catching the loop on the handle! Still, he’s a god…he’s entitled to violate the law of conservation of energy if he wants to!
