I forgot what that thing looked like all put together. Wasn’t it supposed to mostly have been built from real world rockets?

That seemed to be the idea, but the “Shuttle RSRMs” and the “Energia boosters” are both quite a bit larger and differently shaped than the real-world versions.

Yeah I was working at the Space Rocket Center, home of Space Camp, when that movies came out and we all pointed that out. I think the joke around there was that the fake shuttles in Armageddon were actually more accurate. Though spinning MIR to make gravity was beyond stupid and almost got us kicked out the theater due to an errant Popsicle getting stuck to the screen. Not saying one of us did it, but…

Trying to get strap-on boosters to orbit? Phooey.

What’s with the balloon animal center fuselage? A single point support for the (way too small) pusher plate might be problematic.

      It’s still far from finished.

I think I built this in Kerbal Space Program. Worked great until the end of the mission where I failed to bring enough fuel to slow the craft down to make Earth orbital capture and reentry.

Jebediah Kerbal will eternally share Halley’s Comet orbit, I fear.
