    There was a time when countries would not permit anyone to enter if the person came from a place known to have a deadly disease. I can’t imagine that restriction happening today.

    The real horror would be if something with 90+ mortality had a very long incubation period and was airborne. Trials are ongoing for a vaccine, but worries continue:

    How about smallpox? I read the book “Demon in the freezer” (by Richard Preston) years ago, but have kept it on my bookshelf.
