OK, I think there’s a good reason why the Amazon search boxes and ads don’t show up for some people (as discussed HERE and HERE):
Ad Blockers.
It seems ad blocking software/plugins don’t like the Amazon search widgets, and eliminate them prior to appearing on your screen.

If you’d like to use the Amazon search box link from my blog, it seems you’d have to disable blocking on up-ship.com/blog.

Possible alternative: a text link straight to Amazon.com, linking through my account. Immediately below there should be a hyperlink in the form of the word “LINK:”

If you don’t see the “LINK” above… then I guess adblock takes out text links, too.

    Do you get anything for searches on Amazon or just purchases? I search fairly regularly.

    Still doesn’t work for me. No ad blocker and neither MSIE or Firefox show embedded boxes.
