It would seem that the annual orgy of spending is upon the western world again. I’m given to understand that Amazon.com is having a bunch of sales; thus I recommend that if you’re going to do some shopping for stuff, you at least look there… and you start your looking through the search box below.

Support the cause!

Here’s an example: the Lord of the Rings Blu-Ray trilogy, normally over a hundred bucks, on sale for less than $50.

————-
And eleven bucks off “American Secret Projects: Fighters,” which i highly recommend.

————-
And eighteen bucks off “Secret Aerospace projects of the US Navy,” another book I *highly* recommend:

———–
And eleven bucks off “Secret Projects: Flying Wings and Tailless Aircraft,” which looks good (but I haven’t seen myself):

And, sure, why not:

  1. Happy to do so, but I’m not seeing a search box, and the link to the right takes me back to this post.

    • > I’m not seeing a search box

You don’t see the search box circled in this screenshot?
      .

      .
If not, what browser are you using?

  2. Sorry I took so long, just got back from in-laws. I still do not see it and I’m using Firefox on a Mac.

  3. Huh. It shows up on Firefox and IE on a PC. Maybe Mac has a problem with it…

Are you seeing the illustrated ads for the various books?

And is anyone else not seeing ’em?

  4. I don’t (Firefox, Windows).
They used to appear when you first introduced them, but dissappeared later on. Just empty spaces.

    • Well, that’s just… weird. They appear just fine on my system. Have you tried refreshing the screen (F5)?

I did a Google search on this issue, but couldn’t find any references to anything similar.

      Freakin’ weird.

There should be an Amazon search box directly above. If you can’t see it… I can only assume it’s due to interference from communists. or something.

  5. Here is a “text only” link tot he LOTR Blu-Ray:

The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy (The Fellowship of the Ring / The Two Towers / The Return of the King Extended Editions + Digital Copy) [Blu-ray]

And here’s the text + Image link:

Do both show up? Only one? Neither?

  6. And here’s a smaller version of the search box:

  7. […] to a few commenters in this thread, apparently some people cannot see the Amazon.com search boxes that I posted… just empty […]
