The fleabaggers in D.C. have taken their misdirected little hippie rant in yet another completely irrelevant direction: storming the National Air & Space Museum and forcing it to close its doors.

I am finding all of this protest crap irrelevant. What do they hope to accomplish? More importantly, what have they accomplished?
The best form of protest is to vote.
I could see a group of disgruntled aerospace/aeronautical engineers taking over the National Air & Space museum, but these idiots? These “protesters” need to quit and go back to work!

Apparently they were upset about some new display about military drones. If I was NASM security, I’d keep a close eye on the Enola Gay.

It wouldn’t be the first time that left wing activists have attacked her. I think one of those attacks actually did some damage to the fuselage.
No. As RobertWL mentioned, it’s been attacked before. The EG is up on pylons and not *readily* accessible to your lazier brand of angry hippie, but it’s certainly within crap-throwing range, and your more ambitious brand of fleabagger could certainly do some serious damage – or at least vandalism – with a minimum of prep and planning, and some associates. I expect that the security around it is tighter than what it *seemed* to be the two times I was there… sensors, cameras, hidden staff, robots in disguise, that sort of thing.
They do realize that any drone on display in the Air and Space Museum is one that *isn’t* being used in the real world, right?

The signs they carry, the ones that the big news outlets don’t often show you, tell you it is organized by the same consortium of lefties including the American branch of International ANSWER aka “Anti-war front group for the Marxist-Leninist Workers World Party”.
There’s a ‘me-too’ vibe to it as well — all the fringe flakeout clubs want to get their signs seen too. I heard there was an Occupy Fort Worth event today. No pics out there so I suspect it was a flop.
This is to me the worst thing they have done yet. Harass Bank of America? fine by me–but this makes me want to throw molotovs at them.
