Over the years I’ve posted photos on my blog and even a few photo “products,” such as the panoramas on www.artbyearthlings.com and the DM-3 photo book. And people do keep telling me that they’re good and that I could make some money with my photos. Ha! In the two or three years artbyearthlings has been up, I’ve sold *nothing* there. “DM-3” sold *one* copy.
So… neener-neener! I proved ya wrong!!! BWAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

I say: keep at it and don’t give up.
Realistically, though: There’s probably not much money or opportunity to be made in photography anymore.

You know Chad started out as an amatuer photographer and writer for Sunset magazine, that lead to the Air & Space work, so you should talk to him about that. You’re a great writer, maybe you could get a gig working for Air & Space or Mike Machat’s magazines, I’d bet he’d be interested in your work.
What people say and what people do are often not related. When I first posted my TSR2 print with nuclear blast in the background on the various aviation forums I got many, many replies and messages of people asking when prints would be made available. So far I have sold two(!) prints in nine months time, plus a t-shirt last week. Hardly worth the effort of even uploading it. But hey, maybe I’ll sell another one with Christmas. Bottom line… don’t bother if you hope to get rich with it, as that will not happen unfortunately. At least not by selling prints. I have another suggestion for you though, but I’ll contact you about that offline.
For what it’s worth, I really enjoyed browsing through your panorama gallery and had a look at all of them. Very nice stuff, they are really well done!
