Aerojet Sea Dragon
The Sea Dragon designed at Aerojet was one of the largest launch vehicles ever seriously designed. Below is a drawing showing an inboard and outboard profile of the two-stage vehicle. For further information on the Sea Dragon, including many more illustrations, see the Volume 4, Number 6 issue of Aerospace Projects Review.
The Sea Dragon was designed with lower production and development costs so the launch price would be minimal. Still at 300 million dollars in 1962 it could hardly be called a cheap flights project.
Issues of Aerospace projects Review can be purchased individually, or in any number. More on that HERE.
